Some players would like to come out to practice on days other then Friday. We are trying to find the best day that would be most convenient for everyone. Please post the days and times in which you are most available for an extra tennis practice session.

Signup for the first ranking tournament. Round robin begins April 17th with the quarterfinals to the finals stretching out over the next two Fridays.

This is a big change in the way we do things. Since we had a hard time deciding on our own the rankings of the club, both Eric and I have agreed to hold a vote.

Either keep us in charge of deciding who will do it or have an in-club tournament every 2-3 weeks and generate a point score based on how far you reach in the tournament OR just keep things the way they are and we will decide who will play which position based on our perception of their skill. Check the page called "Rankings" near the top right of the website for more information.

As the title says, we have an upcoming tournament on January 24, 2009 at the University of California, Irvine. If you are interested in coming, come to practice the Friday before the Saturday Tournament at 3PM in order to play in the qualifying tournament. You will choose either singles or doubles and be paired with someone of your choice to compete for a ranking. Based on that ranking, the spots will be filled for those playing in the tournament.

Turns out our school colors are Pantone PMS 300, black, white, silver/grey.

In case you were wondering, Pantone PMS 300 is the shade of blue used in the top banner at CSUSB's Website, and it's a very nice shade of blue.

So I know everyone is going to stuff themselves this Thanksgiving and gain a whole 5 pounds from the turkey alone... I know I will! So for those of you who want to burn off that weight before JP starts using his favorite word, there may be an unofficial practice on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. If you are interested in going to Friday's practice the day after Thanksgiving, then post here and talk it out because I know at least Alex is interested.

Yes, it is true. In a few weeks we will have our very own, first tennis tournament hosted by the Pack Tennis Club for the Tennis on Campus program at the CSUSB Tennis Complex. We have the courts reserved, but have yet to find out what schools will participate. Everyone look here for that information, start times, and post and say whether you can make it not... seriously get your lazy bums out of bed for this one! I'm just kidding, but I still hope we have a good turnout for our OWN tournament haha! "Sad" will not even begin to describe... ugh better stay away from bad karma.

We all know about the upcoming tournament this Saturday. I would like to ask if everyone can post whether or not they can come. Also, if you are willing to volunteer your vehicle and your dope driving skills to carpooling, then that would be greatly appreciated and please make sure to post that or to let me know, personally. It would be great if we could hear from everyone by Tuesday.

As practice may be canceled next week, or any of the coming weeks, due to windy conditions I thought it'd be appropriate that I would post directions to other possible practice venues that we may use instead. Be sure to check the website before practice to see which venue has been chosen as an alternate location for that week in case of less than ideal weather conditions.
